Your Long Weekend Easter Movies With ACCTV
By: ACCTV
Staying safe at home this Easter long weekend will be a piece of cake (or is that a piece of chocolate!), with a wonderful variety of Easter movies and programs for the whole family on ACCTV and ACCTV Now. Check out the line-up.
The Passion of the Christ
Focusing on the last twelve hours of the life of Jesus of Nazareth, the Mel Gibson masterpiece, The Passion of the Christ (starring Jim Caviezel), recounts in dramatic detail the Last Supper, the betrayal by Judas Iscariot and Jesus’ condemnation and crucifixion by the Pharisees. Friday night at 9:10pm (AEST) and on ACCTV Now (rated MA).
The Easter Experience
Experience the power of the passion and resurrection of Jesus. Using dramatic storytelling and challenging teaching by Kyle Idleman, The Easter Experience conveys the heart of God’s loving plan for us. This seven-episode journey asks the question, ‘What if what happened then changes everything now?’ The Easter Experience series and feature are available on ACCTV Now or catch the series weeknights at 7:00pm (AEST).
My Son, My Saviour
A powerful portrayal of the life of Jesus as seen through the eyes of his mother, Mary. Using the Gospel as its framework, we see how Mary responded to the events of Jesus’ life and how her understanding of His mission grew over time. My Son, My Saviour is available to watch on ACCTV Now or watch on Saturday night at 10:30pm (AEST).
Jesus: Dead and Buried?
This documentary travels to Jerusalem to see the places where Jesus himself would have walked. He sifts through the evidence of Jesus’ life, death and resurrection and unpacks the reason that Jesus is called the ‘Lamb of God’. Find Jesus: Dead and Buried? on ACCTV Now.
The Third Day
On the third day after Jesus’ crucifixion, eyewitnesses reported that they found an empty tomb and had an encounter with a living, breathing Jesus of Nazareth. What proof do we have that the resurrection really happened? The Third Day is available on ACCTV Now or watch on Thursday afternoon at 1:00pm (AEST).
Lion of Judah
This family movie is a heart-warming account of the Easter story as seen through the eyes of a loveable pig, a faint-hearted horse, a pedantic rat, a rambling rooster, a motherly cow and a downtrodden donkey. Lion of Judah airs Saturday night at 7:30pm (AEST) or find it on ACCTV Now.
Veggie Tales – An Easter Carol
Ebenezer Nezzer is out of control! Filling London with plastic Easter eggs, he’s on a rampage vowing to make Easter, ‘Bigger than ever!’ But just how hard can his mechanical chickens work before they’re…well, fried? Veggie Tales is on Friday afternoon at 4:30pm (AEST) or find it on ACCTV Now.
This is just a small selection of Easter movies in our line-up. Look out for the eggs on our ACCTV Now videos for more great Easter viewing.
